As parents and educators, sometimes we want to educate ourselves about anti-bully reform but we don’t always know where to look. Thankfully, we have plenty of videos, articles, and other relevant media to keep you thoroughly informed.

It took me a while to figure out why my son was so moody and began to do poorly in school. It was not until he shocked me during Christmas break by saying that he wanted to take his own life that I understood the seriousness of his pain! He said that students at school were saying that he was gay. This devastated him. After finding a good counselor for him, my son is doing so much better! One day, I overheard my daughter laughing with her friends about beating a girl up because she had autism. I was so angry. I couldn’t believe it! After speaking with her father we decided to educate ourselves about modern-day bullying. We spoke with our daughter and helped her to understand that bullying is not ok. Today, she volunteers her time working with children with developmental disabilities. I’m so proud of her!
